The most hated people in the USA

DPT. Department of Parking and Traffic.
I got a $50 ticket today for parking in a no parking zone today. I didn't see the sign because it was twenty feet up next to a second story window. I figured it was a legit space becasue there was boxes with diagonal lines painted on the ground on either side of the space I was parked in, leading me to believe, don't park in the boxes but between them is fine. That would be incorrect.

DPT in this area purposely does bad signage in order to meet their quotas for tickets. There is a spot at the end of the block where three people will get a ticket everyday because there is a one small sign that says no parking -> and yet the curb is not red. Someday I an going to paint the curb. It'll be like taking $150 from the city everyday. I just need to get some red paint

As I was returning to the car to move it I saw the ticket and asked the nearby DPT officer very politely why I got a ticket. If he hadn't been there I never would have figured out that I should have looked up so high to see the sign. I guess DPT officers are mean by nature of the job because the man was so scathing towards me. I seriously was not accusing or anything, I was too busy being confused to be upset. He started to lecture me and tell me if I didn't move the car right now he was going to tow it..

I wonder, what does one have to do in a past life to come back as an angry bad karma spreading DPT officer? I wonder what is the ratio of murderer to DPT Officer?

bad karma and DPT officers
Dearly Beloved,

please don't hate me just because these people are now part of MUNI! I had nothing to do with it. You'll have to trust me on that.

On DPT's? Well, they are the second profession with the highest level of heartattacks after cab drivers and city bus drivers. There.

Not for anything but I got my car towed one day from DPT. It took me close to 400.00 in my credit card to get back my car from the City Tow. And it was only after 6 hours later. Needless to say, I was seething for days.

Re: bad karma and DPT officers
For a second I thought you were going to break out into a prince song. I would never associate DPT with lovely Muni Drivers. There are far too many great Muni employees. I have several friends who work as gate agents and drivers. Although I must admit that I have cused at Muni drivers who drove off while watching me run for the bus. I have since decided not to run for a muni bus ever again, problem solved.
