•Bullets in the water

• "The One" by Kylie is such a sad song. It's one of those songs that sounds happy but the lyrics border on tragic. Begging for love is sad no mater what kind o disco beat you put behind it. It's a desperation that strikes home with me as I have felt this way when my self esteem falls low.

•A friend of mine showed me something and I felt this pain of betrayal and shame. I was shocked by my reaction. I think I need to re-evaluate a few things about what I'm doing with my life; What my priorities are and how I am spending my time. I hate feeling regret for things I never took the time to do. Sometimes you favorite restaurant burns down and you can't go back.

• When opportunities that are just plane odd show themselves, I like to explore them. Right now I'm toying with the idea of synchronized swimming with my friend Katie. How many people get an invitation to a Busby Berkley dream? If it was a sunday event I would have already committed but it's on Saturdays and that's the only day I get to spend all day with Tom.

Synchronized swimming! That is so cool. You HAVE to do it. Or you'll regret it later.

:-)

And thanks for your help monkey.

I totally feel your pain on the Saturday commitment decision. I only have 4ish hours per day with Jey to try to pack our entire lives into given that we're on completely opposite sleeping schedules right now. Any particular social event that comes my way I have to ask myself, "Am I giving up quality time with Jey if I commit to this?" ...and I cannot even call and ask him 'cause he's sleeping.

...so, the synchronized swimming sounds teh AWESOME, and I'm totally behind doing it both for the fun and healthiness of it all, but carefully weigh the long-term implications of giving up that personal time with Tom. It's sometimes hard to understand what it *really* means until you feel the loss over a long span of time. How's the old song go? "You don't know what you've got till it's gone?"

Thanks. I would suggest Tom and I do it together but he's like a cat in the water, panicked and uncomfortable. I am going to have to talk it over with him as well as decide how interested I am.

The problem is definitely with your network settings... I'm just nervous about walking you thought trashing your settings and not getting them back. plus I don't really know what your setting are to recreate them. If I was there it wouldn't be a problem. Do you know any mac people that could take a look and reset your network settings. Not sure if the network settings help wizard would work but you could give it a try.

open your system preferences and choose network settings, then click on "assist me" and follow the wizard.

I totally understand. I did some "Mac Help" menu stuff by searching with questions like "My mac is slow" and a few things came up that I tried. Seemed to help. I did down load to CDs my photos and info I have on it just in case something happens. I'm the only Mac person around. And like I said before. My ISP isn't very Mac friendly. But i have no other choice for DSL because they are a small telephone company and they own the lines and such.

I have to listen to "the one" to hear what you were saying. I don't know the song. I've also come upon some interesting musical artists. I'll email you.

I need your help. I went and reinstalled my software today. In setting up my emai I've run into a snag. I called my ISP and they told me to call Apple. In setting up my email. I have to provide a password to send mail. When I go to the Authentication drop-down menu and put the info in. For some reason the computer is changing the setting from smtp.citlink.net to smtp.citlink.net.eweii when I save it. How do I stop it from changing?

I don't use mail but from what I can tell it outgoing mail Server (SMTP):smtp.citlink.net:eweii because it's using smtp.citilink.net with the username eweii (and your password). Perhaps your password is typed wrong or eweii isn't your citilink username?

Your second bullet sounds alarming? I hope you are ok.

thanks for the hug
It's not really alarming, I'm just being vague because I know a couple of people on my flist would feel awkward if they knew what I was talking about. I'll tell you about it next boys night. It's actually really lame.

OK, then it's time for a punchline if things aren't that bad...
As long as they didn't show you a picture of my butt, and your reaction was regret....

Thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
Say...Women...they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean...you'll know

good lyrics, great song...but it's not the song this post reminded me of:

I haven't seen you in ages
But it's not as bleak as it seems
We still dance on whirling stages
In my Busby Berkeley dreams
The tears have stained all the pages
Of my True Romance magazines
We still dance in my outrageously beautiful
Busby Berkeley dreams

And now you want to leave me for good
I refuse to believe you could
You forget we're not made of wood
Well darling you may do your worst
Because you'll have to kill me first

Do you think it's dangerous
To have Busby Berkeley dreams?

How are you doing with the job/building change?

Pretty good. I've gotten used to my new earlier commute and the building location allows me lots of yummy food options. I am getting 30 minutes of walk time everyday which is really nice. my only complaints are how horrible the office looks. I still think it looks like it was designed by a Miami prostitute who lived in a parking garage and was inspired by a mini golf farmhouse. Oh and she ran out of money while building it. I'll post some photos eventually so you can understand.

Things at work are going well, things at home are going well too. I think I'm just missing a bit of art in my life. I need something extensional to give it all meaning. I like the new look for the porch. I was going to make a comment about the hole in the wall... and what was on the other side... but I got busy and forgot.

Yummy, I cannot wait to see some picture of this accumulation of décor inspired by a mini golf farmhouse LOL now that is rich.

Make a list of new ambitions.

Sometimes when I need meaning or a new I go back to the essentials or roots and set in motion an innovative way of thinking about how to revolutionize what I can change to bring back some enjoyment.

No worries on the comment, I completely understand. :D

Thank you. Thank you.
For some reason so many things makes Safari quit. Going to Google maps makes it quit. Plaxo makes it quit. Never could understand why. But I owe you for all the help you've given me.
