Oh carp, I want a coke.

I want a coke. It's the end of my second week of no coke on weekdays. I crave. I want. I suffer. But my addiction was not good and I was beginning to put on too much weight from drinking so many cokes everyday. I want to get myself to a point where I don't need to have a coke everyday. So far it's been getting easier each day but today, the weather is so nice... I want cool refreshment!

I am not a fan of pedicures but I have to say this sound really funny. If it was here in San Francisco I think I would give it a try. Oh Carp!

So why not just have a Coke Zero. Pretty damn close to the same taste- no calories

I figure if I'm going to do it,I'm going to do it right and give up all carbonate beverages for the most part. My habit really isn't healthy, it's not so much about the Calories or Sugar. I do worry that I will have early onset osteoporosis. if you don't take in the same amount of Calcium as your phosphorus (carbonate beverage) your body leached the Calcium from your bones to achieve the balance! That scares the carp out of me.

Interesting... I had no idea that the carbonation part of carbonated beverages was bad for you. I just figured it was the calories and *especially* the corn syrup. To get away from the corn syrup, we make our own soda at home using a Soda Club carbonation thingy plus Torani Syrups. Huh. Now I may need to rethink that strategy as well. ...but I have to have some flavor! Water is so boring.

I see you! I guess you took off after you were attacked. I did the same thing, but I think I defended myself a little bit better. I was upstairs when you were attacked, I had no idea what was going on down there!

I feel your pain. I (mostly) gave up soft drinks a while back, but every once in a while I totally crave a 64 oz. Dr. Pepper. And diet versions are just nasty. I don't care what anyone says to the contrary, diet sodas are no substitute for the real thing. Coke Zero is pretty decent though, have you tried that?

I'm trying to go no soda, not just less calorie soft drinks. I'm really glad we have lemon aid at work... I just wish it was cran-rasberry. What do you drink most frequently?

Ahh, I see. Honestly, I mostly drink water nowadays. If I want something with a little flavor, I'll opt for iced tear more than likely.

Er, iced TEA, not iced tears. Though drinking iced tears would be pretty damn goth.

I used to drink a beer every night with dinner until a trainer told me to cut it out so now I don't drink much more than 2 or 3 a week. The rest of the time it's Simply Limeade and I don't remember the last carbonated beverage I had (other than beer that is).

I'm glad the article mentioned how many fish they had on hand. I would worry that the fish may become satiated and stop doing the job they were hired to do if there weren't enough being kept hungry to take up the slack.

Good luck with the no coke. It's as hard as giving up cigarettes,
