three things

1. I dislike the term shabby chic it make me think of some ghetto knock of with delusions. "Grill, what you doin' with thems Prada curtains, you besta be gettin some foux-martha stewart in you skillet. People will be thinkin you on welfare." If something is labeled shabby chic you can be sure I will have nothing to do with it. The words alone irritate me.

2. I went to dinner the other night and some punk busted in the drivers side lock of my car. Not sure the enchiladas were worth it. At least nothing was stolen and the bastard wasn't able to get anything. amazingly I don't feel all that upset about it. It's inconvenient to unlock the door from the passenger side (my car is all manual- Yay for less features and better gas mileage), but I'm not too upset. Wait till I see the bill when I get it fixed... I'll probably learn some new names to call my little Karma siphon. After the car was vandalized, I was able to meet up with netphenix who was visiting from Paris, apparently he kept blowing me off because he thought I was someone else... I guess I should have been identifying myself as Monkey. That what I get for using my proper name. It was nice to have drinks with just a small group. I was able to have a nice chat with Rice, Fredo, Mike OffIgo, and the elusive Quentin.

3. On Saturday night I took one of Patrick's friend Chris (the now former masseuse for Qnational's Rugby team) around town and to a few bars. We also got to spend some time with Daryl (shamandl) and his boyfreind Todd on their 12 anniversary. See gay men can have long term relationships. It was really great to get to chat with d face to face and without too many other people vying for attention. Pixelstud and skibumca also made an appearance. I think Chris ended up going on sunday to the eagle beerbust with skibumca and Joe. I hope he found a leather daddy to take a picture with before his long flight to Australia.

Now I'm off to go bowling.

Having your car broken into sucks even if there's satisfaction in their not getting anything out of it. I used to leave my old Toyota Tercel unlocked for that very reason. Someone broke into it once when there was nothing to take and they even attempted to steal it which required a new ignition module since they had used a screw driver in a botched attempt to start it. I don't know if leaving it unlocked would have accomplished much in that instance but whenever further break-ins occurred they never got anything.
