Weeres mah reetaynah?

I am constricted, I am bound, I am being squeezed. No, I’m not topping a power vise while wearing a PVC cat suit, I now have braces. My WoW skills have now been improved by 2d6 and my geekitude has jumped by at least 500 points. I decided to use some of the money from the Microsoft acquisition towards something that wold last longer than a bottle of wine or new video game. I wanted bracces as a kid to fix the gap between my front teeth and the overlap that occurs with my bottom teeth, but the dentist said, “ If he was a girl I would say he definitely needed braces but since he’s a boy it doesn’t matter.” Now I’m glad he said that, because I’ve always heard the storries about those metal braces. I currently have the Invisalign plastic braces. So far the process has been relatively painless... Very uncomfortable, yes. I’ve haven’t had them for 24 hours yet and they are making me feel very aware and claustrophobic but it’s just discomfort... And I hope I get used to these things soon so I am not constantly focusing on them. The best part of the invisalign braces is that I’m only going to have to wear these for less than a year. In nine and a half months I’ll have the smile I always wanted. It will be interesting to see how my attitude about these braces change with time.

One of my friends did the same thing and she is thrilled with the results. I can remember she complaining about them for about two or three weeks and then she seemed to get used to them. I hope it takes you even longer to adjust to them. :)

I've almost had them in for 24 hours and I am getting more used to them. I just wish I could get my mind off of them. I want to take them off because I know that I shouldn't.

I am in your boat- my dentist said the same thing about gender.
I have been saving up for Invisalign braces, but I have no idea how much it will cost me- I have a very mild case, too.
I tried looking up what other people in my area paid, and how long they had to wear them. One lady was $8,000 and for two years. I thought this was a bit much... then I saw her before picture. I'm amazed XD.

Re: Rofl @ subject line
I was told the price was a flat fee of $5500 (my insurance covers $1500) before they even looked at my teeth and there was no chance of additional charges. I really hope 9 1/2 months is all the time it takes and their plan goes without any problems. Good luck to you on getting your teeth fixed too.
