Ahh, so much better...

The end is neigh. Well the end of the year is at least. Sadly I really haven’t done a very good job of keeping this journal updated this year. I have friends who are amazed at how good my memory is, I can remember what the names of most of the teachers I have had and what year they taught me, but other things fade from memory too quickly unless I capture them in some way. So many amazing things happened this year and quite a few will become forgotten because I lacked the time to document them. I normally do a YES (Year End Summation) and I guess I should do one this year despite the lack of posts towards the end of the year. I was thinking about doing a YOMP (Year Of Magnificent Photos) especially since I really have taken a lot of great photos that I never shared with anyone let alone my LJ peeps.

My stress levels have really lowered. I have gotten the number of tasks I need to accomplish here at work significantly down. I still haven’t turned in my self appraisal, and I don’t care. My boss hasn’t asked for it. It’s one of the things I am letting pass me by. I figure I am leaving here in January and if things fall through it will push me to keep looking elsewhere. I have high hopes for 2007, it is my year to get ahead, to move on and shine. I am going live more and complain less. I am going to take more pictures, throw more parties and settle into my new home.

I am renewed, I have things to write an projects to complete. I might just try to finish off a few items from the übber list I made at the beginning of the year. So many of them were rendered not applicable when Tom inherited his dad’s home and quite a few got lost in time but there have to be some that can be accomplished in the next few days.

My parents visit went really well. My brother finished off several large bottles of Whiskey and vodka during his four day visit. I had warned Lindsay and John yet they thought I was exaggerating and where shocked. My brother didn’t stop talking the whole time he was here. He talked all the way through several movies which drove me nuts. His shinning moment was when he asked Tom and my friend Matt why they had to talk so nasally and gay. As you can imagine this didn’t go over very well. Luckily I had already told Matt lots of stories about my brother and he had fun reading my brother the rules of behavior. “A white man doesn’t use the “N” word when talking to a black person and a straight man never talks about a gay man’s voice. You don’t want to mess with a true pansy because they gayer they are the more vicious the beating can be.” I love Matt.

Hopefully next year will bring only good things to you. . . and more LiveJournal entries from you to the rest of us!

Also cross your fingers that my plans to move from Los Angeles to San Francisco finally materialise in the spring. Hope to see you then!

Gee, I wonder why.
you should check your mac.com e-mail as, obviously sensing your imminent post, I decided it was time to write to you.

Glad you are less stressed, and got to spend time with family... Your brother sounds like he walks around with his foot in his mouth all the time.. lol... poor guy. Someone needs to put him in his place, tho, i suppose ;-)
