I am taking quick break from filing out peer reviews at work. Whenever I read legalese or crap written in business speak with unfortunate word choices I zone out. I haven’t even finished the first peer review and I have five due by 2pm tomorrow. I am backlogged on work with over 60 trouble tickets with requests for help, I don’t need to answer 76 confusingly worded questions citing example for each for 5 people instead of helping fix broken machines. I didn’t realize I worked for a bureaucracy. Wait... That’s wrong. I did know, I just didn’t realize it had reached a Dilbert level.

I got back from Portland on Friday. I was training the new IT guy that was hired. I always enjoy Portland, probably because I get to hang out with sisyphus238. We went out for dinner and drinks both nights I was there and I came home smelling like an ashtray. I always have a moment where I am shocked to see someone lighting a cigarette in a bar or restaurant.

Thank you again to everyone who offered their condolences about my little Emma. I think I'm still in denial.

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. I'm sort of always amazed when people enjoy my company but I figure if I'm enjoying their's it's probably mutual; it helps when their hearts are as big as yours is.
My only regret is that your company doesn't send you up here more frequently and during the bright part of the year.
