I love my friends. All of my friends are freaks, geeks, creative wonders or insane. Most are a combination. I love it when these qualities are embraced. There is no doubt in anyone's mind upon meeting my friend Kirsten that she holds several of these qualities as precious aspects of herself. It was very shortly after meeting her that I knew she was insane and loved her for it. Kirsten has always been a very flashy dresser. It is hard not to comment on what she is wearing when she gets dressed up. She has often said she need Grrr-animals for adults. I love all of her crazy outlandish outfits. She would be the one to wear the corn-husk dress from the first project runway, but she would have to wear purple fishnets and pink feather ties in her hair to snazz it up with color.
I love it when she talks about when she was in Elementary school and her mother gave her money to buy new clothes for school. I can imagine running around the thrift store with her insane purple fur coat held tightly in her hands. I can picture her wearing it on sot summer days and being teased by the other kids in her class.
So when she called me from her limo on the way home from the people’s choice awards to tell me “I think I’m going to be up for worst dressed, all the photographer’s went crazy.” I knew she was wearing one of her trademark outfits. I was excited to see her on the worst dressed lists, but I was hopeful they wouldn’t be too mean. And wouldn't you know it...
I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Doesn't she look happy? I love you Kirsten!

If she's happy? That's all that counts.
