30 days as a gay

30 days is quickly becoming my favorite show on Television. I can’t believe I still haven’t seen “Supersize Me”. I’ve seen each episode where a person is challenged to live in a situation totally foreign to their own in order to find out what it's like to walk in someone else's shoes. The first episode was about living on minimum wage... It was very depressing. This last episode was really great because it was filmed in my neighborhood and was about a straight guy from Michigan finding out what it’s like to be a gay man in the Castro. I freaked out when I watched it and saw the guy was at Hey Faggot on one of the nights I was there... I vaguely remember the video crew filming and avoiding them. How horrible would it be to show up looking trashed on TV? But the best part was the straight guy got into an argument with one of the gay patrons ... in front of the painting I posed for! I really need to post a copy of the finished piece.

What does it say about me that i get excited that a painting that I posed for was on TV but I avoid the camera? I guess I like the more anonymous form of exposure... where I can tell my friends I was on TV, but all the other people seeing it would never know!
