Betraying the teachings of Mohammed.

I was woken up a bit early today by a phone call from Patrick. "Good morning sweetie, how are you? have you seen the news?"

It's never a good thing when someone who lives in another country asks you if you have seen the news. I knew he wasn't calling to tell me London won the bid for the Olympics. he started out by saying that there had been a number of bombings in London. Luckily he had a Doctors appointment because his tube stop for work was one of the ones that was bombed. His Partner Danny's was also but he is OK. They are both very lucky. He began to get a choked up sound in his voice and i let him go to call other people. I sat there is shock for a moment. THen i grabbed my powerbook and went to the BBC news website, read a bit of the article and then clicked on the map and about shit my pants. The bombs were all in places I was very familiar with. The blast at Euston is just across from S&M and next to the grain shop where Greg (Evie's widower) used to work.

I'm really glad that grubbybastard, southernpm and fredo_joaquin are back because Euston was one of the stations they would use to get to their hotel. I have yet to hear from quite a few friends i have that live in London. I'm sure once We hear from Alex she will be able to tell us the status of the rest of our friends.

I am so upset by this. I don't understand. I really don't understand how groups can take a religion and twist it so that it goes against the teachings of the religion... and yet people follow it. Al-Qaeda has twisted the teachings of Mohammed into something that would have caused his him to weep in agony.

"Can't we all just get along?"

I know how you feel. I have to half sisters who live in London. I just contacted my father's widow and she has not gotten a reply back from the girls and is worried.

I know that statement reads sort of odd but you know enough about me and my family to know how odd it indeed is.
