Book meme!

You're stuck inside Fahrenheit 451, which book do you want to be?
I really was apprehensive to do this meme, because I never read Fahrenheit 451. Since I went from slow classes where we read Beverly Cleary to accelerated classes that assumed you had already read the classics and read obscure South African novels instead, I missed a lot of books everyone else read.

Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?
Of course! Cypher from the New mutants is the only one that comes to mind at the moment but I’m sure there have been lots of others.

The last book you bought is:
The Relaxation & Stress Reduction Workbook I bought it for Tom, He is going to read it as my birthday present. The last book I bought for myself was New Mutants Vol. 1: Back to School

The last book you read:
Said New New Mutants graphic Novel.
Last non graphic book was Chloe, Queen of Denial by Naomi Nash

What are you currently reading?
Calendar Girl by Naomi Neale
Song of Susannah (The Dark Tower, Book 6) by Stephen King

Five books you would take to a deserted island:
The New How Things Work : From Lawn Mowers to Surgical Robots and Everything in Between
Because I need to build shelter with indoor plumbing.
Tom Brown's Guide to Wild Edible and Medicinal Plants
Because I don’t want to die!
How to Build Wooden Boats: With 16 Small-Boat Designs
Because I don’t want to be along for too long.
The Drawing of the Three (The Dark Tower, Book 2)by Stephen King,
Because it’s my favorite book to escape to and it has a deserted island feel to it.
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
Because I really should read it.

Who are you going to pass this stick to (3 persons) and why?
No one... if anyone wants to do it they can. I was just happy grubbybastard wrote such a nice compliment in his journal!

Party Animal - FakeID vs Def Leppard - not at this rate

Ummm...you need to come be on the island with Cricket and I. Neither one of us was smart enough to get those kinds of books.

no shit huh. i did think about after the fact but wouldn't have known any actual real titles. besides, if you have to be stranded on an island, you really should have a monkey around. =)

Your desert island books are so practical!

What if this desert island had a full service hotel and restaurant and you didn't have to worry about food, shelter, and the basic necessities, but were just stuck there forever? Pretend it's staffed by robots that you can't talk to, so the books are your only contact with the life of the mind.
