On a train to nowhere

I have been sitting her long enough o type up two entries. The view out the window hasn't changed, same off-ramp, same wires, same tracks, same rocks, trees and fence! There is a demonstration on the tracks to the Chunel by the train workers. We have been sitting here for over an hour and haven't moved an inch. The conductor keeps coming on the speakers saying he has no idea when we will be able to go and assuring us they are working on the problem.

There are several cities that are competing to get the 20012 Olympics, London and Paris both are putting up a great fight for the honor, but Paris has made an amazing bid. Everywhere you go in paris you see the five colored rings on monuments and when the sun goes down, the lights along the Sine and on bridges all shine with the five colors of the Olympics. All the big stores have followed suit and have lit there building accordingly.

The people who have been working so hard to get the Olympics must be pissed about the transportation strike and demonstrations, how can a city host the Olympics when there transportation is being held hostage so easily during the time the judges are making their decisions! The outcome should be interesting.

I hope the trains starts moving soon , I also hope we are able to get thought and they don't send us back to Paris, I have people from Germany I want to see in London! Grrr!

It ended up taking 5 and a half hours to get back to London!

Somehow I never think "French" when I think of athletics. But maybe by 20012.
