There is Thunder in our hearts...

I want to thank grubbybastard for lending me the book... I'm very excited to read it. Thank you, Thank you! It was great to meet you. I'm looking forward to hanging out with you again. I'll post & send you the pictures when I am able to download them.

I met Grubby at Tully's in the Castro and and we got a chance to talk for a while before skibumca showed up. He had asked if i wanted to join him and Joe for dinner, i told him i was meeting a LJ friend at Tully's and wouldn't be able to do dinner until after 6:30 or 7:00 at the soonest. So when Joe canceled on dinner, Jason just showed up at Tully's and joined us. itsolivia will be glad to know both grubbybastard and I harassed him about updating his journal.

After Grubby had to go to his other engagement Jason and I joined Tom for dinner at Red's Grill which was ... yum! Jason and I then met up with Joe and had a few drinks at Moby and TBOC. Quite a nice evening... both joe and Jason tried to steal the book. When i left Joe and Jason it was midnight and they were heading to "sadgirls"... AKA badlands. Then i got this email from him this morning...

"OMG...after you left things went downhill fast ;) That guy Clark asked
me out even though he knows I went on a couple dates with his friend. It
was a little awkward and then we made out...yikes...my knees hurt today!"

The knees hurting is an inside joke that doesn't mean what you are thinking... but it sounds so much worse... I love it, Jason is going to kill me.

Perhaps I should have gone to Badlands myself. My evening took several unexpected twists! : )

Glad you are enjoying the book. We'll definitely have to hang out again.

When are you in the city?
We need to figure this out. I don't mean to make it sound like Concord is Egypt, but if you are in the city it's a lot more convenient. Tom and I normally have plans of Friday nights and Saturdays but any other evening and Sunday’s I’m pretty open. Let me know what is good for you!

Re: When are you in the city?
I actually work in Oakland so getting into the city during the week is pretty easy to do. So I'm free after work. Generally Wed or Thurs works best.

Re: When are you in the city?
We'll probably have another party on lower Nob Hill in mid-January, so you could meet then if not before. : )

Re: When are you in the city?
Thursday would be best for me, I get allergy shots on Wednesdays now because of the Holiday Schedule. Shall we shoot for this Thursday?

Love that Tully's...
I'm glad to hear that Tully's is expanding outside of Washington. I love Tully's; I discovered it five years ago when my parents moved back home to Washington after a 24-year detour through Michigan and what was then West Germany.

I was thrilled to find that their coffee is now sold on Amazon.com. Up until now I used to have to take an extra suitcase with me when I visited home. You can find their product here:

And no, I am not affiliated with Tully's in any way. I am just a coffee junky who likes the best fix possible. ;-)
