The Jane Birkin concert tonight was amazing. I could do twenty posts about it, but I will try to keep it to only a few points. First she didn't do my favorite song... the one I am listening to now. She was amazing none the less. Her vocals are just as amazing live as they are recorded and I swear she could be a speech writer. She moved me to the point of tears when she read the poem written by the 20 year old friend of her who had died, she went on to talk about her loss and ended saying, "Sometimes we wait too long to say thank you, and we can't anymore."
The music began to play and she sat there on the stage with her back to the audience, from our seats to the side in the balcony I could see she was wiping tears away from her eyes. She composed herself just in time start singing the song.

divadolly: Sunny, Thank you for being the amazing energized full of life person you are. Your strength and character are so bright it reflects off those in your presence. You smile can force a smile from me on my darkest day. The love that exudes from you, from the first moment is like a damn breaking and flooding an unsuspecting valley, overwhelming and consuming. You are going to pull through this troubled time because you are powerful and unstoppable. Thank you for the moments you have shared with me and the inspiration you have brought to those around you. You are going to pull through. You are strong enough!

Jane Birkin's violinist hypnotized me, he was amazing. He horrified me the way his eyes stayed lock unblinking in place like he was reading sheet music that was place invisibly three feet in front of his face. His face serious and stoic. His arms, hands and fingers danced wildly as his hips and legs swayed to the sultry sounds he was making. Haunting.

If you wish to check out Jane Birkin and have iTunes, just switch countries to France and look her up.

Oh and itsolivia they didn't even have French fries, maybe because they are Belgian.

She is lucky to have you as a friend. I'll keep her in my prayers and I hope she's ok.

Yes. That is her. I knew you ran in the same circle but I had no idea you knew her. I'm so sad. I want to go home.
