When I was at the Folsom Street fair the week before I overheard someone say, "I wish they would get rid of all these booths, it's not like anyone ever buys anything." I don't usually buy anything, maybe sunglasses or some kitschy little thing but that is because I only buy things I want. If these vendors weren't selling lots of stuff there wouldn't be very many of them, so obviously people are buying stuff.
At the Castro Street Fair this year, I bought quite a few things. I bought a T-shirt for my friend Patrick (Sister Mercedes Benz Eddictus who now lives in the UK) that says, "El Nun" and has a man dressed up as a nun with fishnets, it’s very classy.
The big highlight for me was coming across a treasure trove of knitted finger puppets. Some of you may know about my knitted finger puppet obsession, I have dozens of them and carry at least three of them with me almost everywhere I go. I love to take pictures with them in front of tourist attractions and doing tourist things. I bought eight new puppets at the fair but sadly I still haven’t found a kitty puppet, Do they not have cats in South America? Come on, I know they do.
To prove my lack of sanity most of my finger puppet have different personalities. Lamb loves to take tourist photos in front of senic areas and attractions. Burro is a trouble maker and likes to go clubbing and drink too much. There is a sad picture of Burro vomiting in a london trash can after a night of too much fun clubbing and drinking. Singe (his parents were french and he grew up in Noe Valley) just likes to have his picture taken usually with Lamb. Someday I am going to have to do a site with all of their pictures.

*raises eyebrow* Wow, you are crazy.

Crazy is good =^.^=
I knew I liked you, and that statement just made me laugh.
Would one be allowed to send you a finger puppet if one found one, or are they things you have to buy yourself?
