I remember years ago reading in et_blackbird's journal about all his disastrous attempts at seeing movies in a theater. I think after going to several movies with Derek the curse has finally rubbed off. I can't seem to have an enjoyable evening out at the movies anymore. Spiderman 3 and Fantastic 4 Silversurfer where not only horrible movies but traumatic experiences. Sicko and Transformers were pretty good movies but the night was not without pain. La vie en Rose was a wonderfully depressing movie that left me in a state of dark emotions. Hairy Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was incredibly enjoyable but the evening has left me with frustration levels that urge me to throw expensive things, from high places, while screaming obscenities until my voice has completely gone and I lack the ability to communicate in any way other than blinking eyes. As well as write run on sentences. Arg!

Sorry to put all the blame on you Derek, but the world must be warned of your evil curse! Plus, I know you are strong enough to shoulder the blame.

Still upset at 1AM.

Don't call me Shirley.
I'm very rarely in a regular movie theater anymore. People are obnoxious, kids are obnoxious, and I can't sit there without doing something. We have a few theaters called the Alamo Drafthouse that have a full restaurant menu, drinkies, and kids aren't allowed! The experience, when I do go, is pleasant, the people sit quietly, and hell, if the movie sucks, the drinks help!

Surely, you have something there like this, no?
