Hats off to you!

Life has been so busy lately, no time for rest, especially the wicked monkeys. I wore my Tibetan hat today that I’ve always thought of as my serenity hat. On the inside there is this beautiful fabric of strands of flowers with giant roses on a green background with little white strips. I wear the hat so the row of roses run from front to back and the slightly coarse brim which is not bothersome reminds me that I am wearing it. It reminds me to be serene. Today the hat lost. My day started out with people in full panic- usually over nothing that one should panic over. I hate when people stress out in front of me, I can’t help but absorbed it and make if my own.

Earlier today one of our more tech savvy guys came up to me in a panic because one of our hosting company accidentally decimated a site we had created. Of course no one knew where the backup of the site was. He had come to me for help. I already was dealing with two panicked people so when he said, “Eric, you are our only hope.” I with the aid of my hat I was able to respond, “Can you say that again with two cinnamon roll on the side of your head?” The bastard didn’t laugh or get cinnamon rolls, he just kept on talking about his problem.

Toward the end of the day my hat met it’s failure when I was trying to concentrate on doing something that I had no idea how to setup, while restoring a computer, looking for software, and respond to email. I sit outside one of our conference rooms and quite often the people using them forget to close the door which is only a problem when they start to have a party. The noise level got so high I was sure there were 15 year olds with beer in there. I slammed my door closed- very much a hissy-fit, I know. Tomorrow will be better...

You know almost every time I wear a hat now I think about they guy who was shocked when I took of my hat. “You have have hair! Why do you wear a hat?” I wasn’t aware only bald men were allowed to wear hats... I guess he had never had a bad hair day.

Did you know the official name for Leia's hairstyle is "star buns?"

Neither did I until I saw a picture of some action figure or something of her that said, "with Star Buns!"

Well, it does get very cold in space . . . . you'd think a princess could afford earmuffs, though.

awwww, *hugs*

And yay for Tibetan serenity hats. The poor thing was just overwhelmed, like it's owner. :-)

Yes, tomorrow WILL be better - it's Friday :-)!

Maybe if you'd made some reference to the Clone Wars...

I bought mine in a Tibetan store in NYC, but I bet they have them in most Tibetan stores.

I've only met you a couple of times, but you come highly recommended by one Jannie. We should hangout sometimes don't you think? I want to. Maybe we could come up and visit. Too forward? I don't know. Wait do you remember me? Ha ha. - M
